PLAYER REGISTRATION FOR THE FALL 2016 IS CLOSED FOR MOST AGE GROUPS

REGISTRATION IS STILL OPEN FOR THOSE BORN IN 2011 AND 2012

REGISTRATION FOR SPRING 2017 SEASON OPENS IN JANUARY

If you are having issues logging on, please contact Affinity at 1-800-808-7195 between 10 am - 10 pm Monday through Friday, and 10 am - 6:30 pm Saturday and Sunday.  

Note: The club's main web site continues to be http://www.nasoccerclub.org, where you can review FAQ's, find field closure information, get helpful information for coaches, and obtain contact information for the board of directors.

 

Registration Checklist

Prior to registering your child, please have the following items handy:

  • Affinity user name and password (Blue Sombrero password does not work for Affinity, so you may need to create a new account if this is your first time registering in Affinity). 
  • Team code if you were informed by a coach after tryouts that you made their team 
  • Picture of player and player birth certificate, unless born in 2011 and 2012 (each in .jpeg format and less than 512KB in size) 
  • Player jersey # (if have one from previous season which he/she plans to wear this season) 
  • Credit card for payment

Our apologies in advance for some added complexity this season.  We have consolidated our registrations into one system.  The Affinity system required by PA-West (our state-level youth soccer organization) is where our travel registration has been for several years, so if you are familiar with that and have logged in there before, you should skip down to "

Registration Steps After Logging In."

If you have only used Blue Sombrero (this site) for registrations, then you'll need to make sure you connect to your Affinity account that was automatically created from your past Blue Sombrero registrations.  There is an account for you at Affinity but you will have to have the password reset as if you forgot it.  If you use the same email address that you typically used in past registrations, this should be relatively simple.  If it has no recall of the email address you think you used, you can call Affinity for help (855-798-0470). In general, once it ties you to the account that is automatically there from past season uploads between the systems, your kids profiles will then be matched by the system.

If you have NEVER registered any kids in ANY NASC systems you will need to create a new free account at Affinity and enter some profile information for yourself and your children that wish to play.

The Affinity registration site is http://pa-nallegheny.affinitysoccer.com if you would like to proceed there to create your account before actually registering.

Registration Steps After Logging In

The Affinity system will automatically show you programs your child is eligible to register for based on their birth date after you have logged in and clicked on the "Register" button at the top right.  After you answer questions on each screen, you proceed by clicking the "Continue" buttons at the bottom of the screen.  "Register as a Player" for your child and the system will automatically select their group based on their age.  If your child went through try-outs and made an advanced team, their coach will have sent you an "Assignment Code" to fill in when asked and that put them directly on that team.  If you are going into the general registration process you can leave the code blank.  You'll then choose "Travel" level for kids born before 2007 or "In-house" level for kids born after 2006.
If you want to "play-up" into an older age group, you must first register in the program the system aligns you with and then fill out this Google Form with your request. 

Once you've selected Travel or In-house, you'll get a series of questions designed to help us place your child on a team.  It's an imperfect way to place roughly 100 kids per age level onto teams, but we try to make it convenient for you and a balanced experience on the field for your child.

You'll be asked about insurance for registration and we advise that you DECLINE.  It is not the insurance that is part of your registration fee should your child be injured, but rather insurance for registration refunds which are rarely questioned by our club.  We cannot prevent it from offering you registration insurance.  Our refund policy is listed on our website.

We have to start making Travel teams in July and In-house teams in early August.  We apply late fees after mid-July as an incentive for you to register early enough for our volunteers to properly make the teams and make sure we have enough coaches to run them.  Consider it like an overdue library book charge designed to support a non-profit providing community resources so the whole community is fairly served.

Please register soon so our volunteers have the best chance of putting together a smooth-running season.  Also consider volunteering yourself to create some lasting memories and bonding experiences with your child and our community.  Most groups of coaches balance each other out between soccer skills, people skills, and dependability to be at practices and games.  There are all kinds of things we need help with both on and off the field.  Give it a shot for a season and it may be something that fuels the rest of your year.

  

 TRAVEL JERSEYS:

 

Your child will need a Reversible Jersey if:

1.  He/she is a U5 through U8 player.

2.  He/she is a U9 or U10 player and has NOT been placed on a D4 Travel team.

3.  He/she has outgrown or misplaced the reversible jersey from the previous season.

 

Your child will need a new Travel Uniform if:

1.  He/she is a new player (U9 or U10 that has been placed on a D4 Travel team and all U11 and older players).

2.  He/she has outgrown or misplaced any portion of the uniform from previous seasons.

3.  You feel your child’s uniform is in poor condition and needs to be replaced.

 

Uniform Best Practices:

  • During each registration period you will be given the opportunity to order a new reversible jersey or travel uniform through http://www.soccersourceteam.com/
  • Please check your child’s jersey/uniform prior to registering and plan for growth accordingly.
  • It takes 6-8 weeks to process new uniform orders.

 

What is the NASC Rec Uniform for U5 through U8 and U9 players not on a travel team?

Each player must have a NASC reversible jersey to participate in the games.  A NASC Recreational  uniform for these age groups consists of the following:

  • NASC Reversible jersey obtained through http://www.soccersourceteam.com/
  • Shorts, socks, shin guards and soccer cleats. 
    • Soccer cleats are optional for U5/U6
    • Soccer cleats are mandatory for U7 and up

 

What is the NASC Travel Uniform for U9 and older players that are on a Travel team?

Each player must have a NASC Travel Uniform to participate in the games.  The NASC Travel Uniform consists of the following:

 

How will I get my NASC Uniform?

After registering with NASC for the upcoming season, you will receive an email from Soccer Source with further instructions on how to obtain your uniform.  If  you have not received an email and are unable to login after following these instructions, please contact sue@soccersourceteam.com.

INITIAL and REPLACEMENT TEAM UNIFORM ITEMS:

Team uniform orders must be placed by Monday, July 11, 2016 for delivery by your first game. Orders placed after this date will be processed and available as soon as possible, but may not be available for the first game of the season.

NOTE – all orders placed within one week of the start of the season may NOT begin to be processed until after the start of the season.

Items listed as "Required" are determined by the club to be needed.  However, if you already have some of these items and plan on using them this season, there is no need to reorder the item again through this system.

ADDITIONAL ITEMS/EXTRAS:

Spiritwear or optional items are also available through this online site and can be placed at any time for anyone, players and fans, who may be interested in the products.

SIZING:

  • Items are indicated as either mens or youth sizes.  
  • Size charts are available within the ordering website for additional details regarding sizing.    Please note that these size charts are approximations only and it is recommended that you try sample items on at Soccer Source, 9600 Perry Highway Pittsburgh PA  15237 prior to ordering online whenever possible.
  • If a change needs to be made to an order after payment has been completed, please contact sue@soccersourceteam.com.
  • Once items have been printed with personalization they can no longer be exchanged or returned.

JERSEY NUMBERS:

  • D4 and D5 Travel Players  – If the system shows your Current Jersey # as “No Number Assigned”, please use the dropdown box to select a number that is not already assigned to a player on your team.  If you already own a jersey or tee-shirt with a # that is not listed on the dropdown box, please send an email to sue@soccersourceteam.com with your player’s full name, age group, gender and current jersey #.  Your # will be added to your account if available.   If it is confirmed that this # is no longer available, someone from the North Allegheny Soccer Club will contact you regarding a new number.  

DELIVERY:

  • NASC will contact you regarding delivery of your order prior to your first game.  Generally the entire team order is delivered to the coach for distribution.
    • If you order after the team order date, you may be contacted individually to pick up your order at Soccer Source, 9600 Perry Highway, Pittsburgh, PA 15237.

  • Division 5/6 Travel Players  –  The system may show you as being associated with the team you played with in a prior season for the time being and may have a jersey # associated with your account if it was supplied last season.  This season’s team rosters will be finalized just prior to the start of the season. 
  • If the system shows your Current Jersey # as “No Number Assigned”, you may place your order now and once you are assigned to a team NASC will assign jersey #s based on availability.
  • If you already own a travel jersey or tee-shirt from a prior season with a # other than what is listed on the website, please send an email to sue@soccersourceteam.com with your player’s full name, age group, gender and current jersey #. Your # will be added to your account if available.   If it is confirmed that this # is no longer available with your new team, you will be contacted regarding further action needed.

IMPORTANT NOTE:  Age Group Coordinators are primarily administrative positions - they help assemble teams and communicate with coaches.  Important qualifications are access to a computer, a willingness to learn our registration system, and organizational skills.  No soccer experience necessary.
